Product certification in connection with CE marking |
Certification of a company’s products is required in connection with CE marking of construction products if the construction products are covered by the system of attestation levels 1+ and 1. A product certificate ensures that the products meet the requirements of the harmonised standard. Certification and requirements for the Factory Production Control System (FPC system) of a company is an integrated part of the product certification. See below. Further information cf. Inspection of the Factory Production Control System in connection with CE marking |
Continuous surveillance or inspection of a company’s Factory Production Control System is required in connection with CE marking of construction products if the construction products are covered by the system of attestation levels 1+, 1, and 2+. The annual inspection frequency is stated in the relevant harmonised standard or in ETAG (European Technical Approval Guidelines). Further information cf. "The road to CE marking".

Product certification without CE marking |
In cases where a product is not covered by the European harmonised standard for CE marking or the harmonised standard has not yet come into force, Dancert can offer a product certification. A product certificate ensures that the products meet the requirements of the codes of practice, the product standards, the future harmonised standards for CE marking (so that the company is prepared) or generally recognised specifications thus guaranteeing the quality of the products. Like CE marking the quality management system is an integrated part of the product certification. For instance an ISO 9001 system, cf. below.

ISO 9001 certification of a company’s quality management system |
ISO 9001 certification is a certification of the quality management system in order to ensure a specific quality of a product. An ISO 9001 certification combined with a product certification ensures the product quality as well as the system that is necessary to obtain the required product quality.
ISO 9001 certification may be used as part of the company’s FPC system for CE marking.

ISO 14001 certification of a company’s environmental management system |
Certification in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard is a certification of a company’s environmental management system.
Companies with a certificate according to ISO 14001 must meet all environmental requirements stipulated by the authorities and must continuously improve their efforts as far as environmental matters are concerned.
